Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund takes a walk on the wild side at Lancashire Wetland Centre
A donation made by the Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund has helped deliver an exciting new wetland habitat attraction at Martin Mere Wetland Centre in Burscough, Lancashire.
The new Wild Walk attraction gives visitors an opportunity to encounter three types of wetland habitat and experience the wild reserves, previously only seen at a distance from stationary lookout posts.
The attraction, which opened on 17th July, takes visitors on a journey along wetland tracks, meadows, woodlands and a reedy ramble where they will discover a range of wildlife and giant sculptures.
The exhibit was built following donations from the Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund in addition to further support from other local organisations.
