Strengthening The Senior Team
The Duchy of Lancaster has further strengthened its senior team, with two key appointments since the start of the year. Jonathan Murrin takes up the post of Chief Finance Officer, while Mark Coombs takes on the role of Head of Rural Investment.
Jonathan Murrin is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience in the property sector. He studied PPE at Oxford University before joining Ernst & Young in 1991. Post-qualification he moved into industry and has held a number of leadership roles in the commercial property sector, establishing a strong reputation for building and managing finance teams, implementing new systems and driving commercial success. Immediately prior to joining the Duchy, Jonathan led financial and commercial workstreams charged with the delivery of Lendlease’s largest UK development project, Silvertown in London’s Royal Docks.
Commenting on these appointments, Duchy CEO Nathan Thompson CVO said: “We are delighted to welcome Jonathan and Mark to the Duchy. Their skills, experience and vision align perfectly with our corporate values and our ambitions for the future development of the team. I have no doubt that they will make a significant contribution to the business and look forward to working with them as we take the organisation forward to the next stage of our journey of continuous improvement and development.”
Chief Finance Officer Jonathan Murrin, who is also appointed to the Duchy’s Executive, will be based in the London office at Lancaster Place, while Head of Rural Investment Mark Coombs will be based in the Duchy’s Northern office at Lancaster Castle.
