Duchy Hosts Contractors At Palace Garden Party

The Duchy of Lancaster invited a selection of preferred contractors and building partners to a Royal Garden Party this year in recognition of the quality of their craftsmanship, repairing and refurbishing properties across the rural Estates.

Many of the attendees had never visited Buckingham Palace before and were thrilled to have had the opportunity to be part of such a special occasion.

Attendance at the Garden Party was preceded by a lunch hosted by the Duchy’s Head of Project Management Graeme Chalk: “It was an absolute pleasure to be able to thank these highly skilled individuals for the work that they and their teams have carried out for us in recent years. Since we introduced the Duchy Design Standard back in 2015, they have worked with us to deliver an ambitious programme of refurbishment projects as well as continuing with the annual repair and maintenance works across the Surveys. We would not have been able to achieve such excellent results without their commitment to excellence and determination to go the extra mile.”
